At Valleyview Alliance Church we desire to be continually striving to be more like Christ. Spiritual complacency is something that we need to avoid. We desire to always be growing together to become like Jesus. We believe that we need each other and that we can help each grow in our walk with Christ.
The guiding verse for this section section is 2 Timothy 2:15 “Be diligent to present yourself approved to God as a workman who does not need to be ashamed, accurately handling the word of truth.”
We believe that being a diligent workman will include knowing the word of God and using it to encourage and disciple one another. It will also include corporately coming together to pray. We desire to work together to become more like Christ through the following ministries:
~Sunday and Kids
We love to have our children in the worship service with us. For December the children will receive an activity box immediately following the children’s feature.
~Weekly Bible study
Wednesday evenings at 7:00 PM we have a Bible study at the church. This is a great time to connect and to minister to each other.
~Prayer ministries
We place a high value on prayer at Valleyview Alliance Church. We believe that all we do is useless unless our God is behind it. Scripture teaches that God cares about us and wants us to bring our requests to Him. To encourage corporate prayer we have a prayer and sharing time during our Sunday morning service and an active prayer chain. You can also submit prayer requests online for either our prayer chain or our leadership team here.
~Elder’s visits
As leadership of Valleyview Alliance Church we want to be involved in your life to encourage and pray for you. If you are a regular attender of our church you can expect that eventually you will be asked if we can come visit you. We want to get to know you and pray with you.
~Spiritual conversations with other believers
As believers in Jesus Christ a great way to grow together to become like Christ is by engaging in spiritual conversations with other believers. This is something that we cannot force as a church, but it is something that we encourage to be happening among our people.
