At Valleyview Alliance Church we place a high emphasis on relationships. We believe that the church is a family. We enjoy doing things together and think that there is value in spending time with one another. Connecting through relationships is vital to the church. We believe that you cannot love God without loving one another.
The guiding verse for this section is Hebrews 10:24–25 “And let us consider how to stimulate one another to love and good deeds, not forsaking our own assembling together, as is the habit of some, but encouraging one another; and all the more as you see the day drawing near.” ”
We desire to connect as a church family in the following ways:
~Sunday morning service
Sunday morning is the primary way that we connect as a body. We gather every Sunday for worship, sharing, giving, and the hearing of God’s Word.
~Communion
Communion is a time that we set aside to corporately remember and celebrate what Christ has done for us. This is also a time for personal examination to confess our sins and ensure that there is nothing hindering our relationship with God. We believe that self examination is an important part of communion.
~Potlucks
What better way to get to know one another and develop relationships than over good food. We aim to have potlucks on the first Sunday of every month
~Church events
Every few months we together to for an informal time to play some games, eat some food and just enjoy time together.
~Joint services
We believe that there are other churches in Valleyview that are bringing glory to God! We enjoy getting together and worshiping with other followers of Christ who attend a different fellowship.
